It is correct to detain refugees in the prison-like detention centres in the Czech Republic because "they are criminals", says Czech President Miloš Zeman in an interview for a controversial, tabloid, highly popular Czech server Parlamentní listy. "They are criminals because they have broken Czech law by gatecrashing onto the territory of the Czech Republic and by breaking international law. The refugees are infringing the Dublin Regulation according to which a refugee is required to apply for asylum in the first safe country. The Czech Republic certainly is not the first safe country which these refugees have entered," said President Zeman.
