When detaining refugees, Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka said that his country acts strictly in line with international covenants and Czech law. "The law of the Czech Republic says that it is not possible to enter the territory of the Czech Republic illegally and without a valid passport. If this happens, the police will detain the foreigner and in accordance with the law will begin the process of indentifying the illegal persons." Source in Czech ZDE
