Only 3 per cent of Czechs are now willing to accept refugees permanently

According to the latest opinion poll, carried out by the CVVM polling agency in January 2016, 65 per cent Czechs are now against receiving refugees in their country. This is 5 per cent more than in December 2015 and 15 per cent more than in September 2015.

28 per cent of Czechs are willing to accept refugees from war-torn countries temporarily, Only three per cent of Czechs support the notion that refugees should be accepted permanently.

43 per cent of Czechs are willing to accept refugees from the Ukraine, 39 per cent of Czechs are against accepting them.

Only 15 per cent of Czechs are willing to accept some refugees from North Africa and the Middle East, 80 per cent of Czechs are against receiving them.

81 per cent of Czechs regared the refugee crisis a security risk for the Czech Republic, 91 per cent regard it as a security risk for the European Union and 83 per cent regard it as a global security risk.
