Slovak President Andrej Kiska: Stop spreading fear of refugees and let us help Europe

The Slovak President Andrej Kiska has made an urgent appeal to the Slovak public to stop spreading the fear of refugees. He said that his compatriots should realise that it will not be a burden for Slovakia to accept several hundred or several thousand refugees. He also warned the Slovak nation to beware of a rise in extremism and xenophobia which can be on the borderline of fascism. "Compassion and understanding must be permanent values of Slovakia," said the Slovak President.
