Ammon Cheskin

Dr. Ammon Cheskin pracuje jako lecturer v oboru středo a východevropských studií na Univerzitě v Glasgow. Jeho výzkumná práce se soustřeďuje na totožnost ruských mluvčích v postsovětských zemích, zejména v pobaltských zemích a na Ukrajině. Jeho současný výzkum zkoumá složité vztahy a postoje Ukrajinců vůči Evropské unii a Rusku- Je držitelem doktorátu a titulu MRes v oboru středo a východoevropských studií na univerzitě v Glasgow a také titulu MA v oboru tlumočnictví a překladatelství z ruštiny a BA z ruštiny a politologie z univerzity v Bath. Vyučuje kurzy o ruské zahraniční politice, nacionalismu a národní identitě ve středovýchodní Evropě.

Dr Ammon Cheskin is a lecturer in Central and East European Studies at the University of Glasgow. His research focuses on the identities of Russian speakers in post-Soviet countries, especially in the Baltic states and in Ukraine. His current research investigates the complex relationships and attitudes of Ukrainians towards the EU and Russia. He has a PhD and an MRes from the University of Glasgow in Russian, Central and East European Studies, an MA in Russian Interpreting and Translation, and a BA in Russian and Politics, both from the University of Bath. He teaches courses on Russian Foreign Policy, and Nationalism and Identity in Central and East Europe.
